Oral health plays a very important role in the general health and over all well-being of the person. The Dental Department of CMC Chittoor commenced services in June 2016. The practice includes

1. General dentistry

2. Pediatric dentistry

3. Endodontic procedures

4. Management of medically compromised patients

5. Emergency trauma management

6. Minor oral surgical procedures

7. Oral cancer screening and biopsies

8. Diagnosis and treatment of mucosal lesions

9. Preventive and interceptive orthodontics

10. Prosthetic rehabilitation (immediate dentures, crown and bridge, dentures, denture repair etc)

The issues of high caries among children and adults, poor oral hygiene and addictive habits are addressed as part of the Well-mouth clinic. The focus of this department is patient centered comprehensive care, with a special concern for the poor and the marginalized. Services of this department are extended to the community by conducting school camps and village clinics, along with the community health department. Dental unit, Chittoor campus in collaboration with Dental Department of CMC Vellore is also involved in the training programme for young dental graduates.
