CSSD - Central Sterile Services Department

CSSD referred to as Central Sterile Services Department is an integral part of CMC Vellore Chittoor Campus that performs different methods of Sterilization on medical devices, equipment and consumables which are safe for patient use and care.

CSSD plays an important role in delivering an infection free zone. Our services include Pre-vacuum Steam Sterilization, ETO gas sterilization and Hydrogen peroxide Plasma sterilization. We provide around 1850 sterile packs daily to serve our out-patients and in-patients.
