The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Christian Medical College Vellore, Chittoor campus is a multi-unit Department which caters to the matters of the reproductive tract of women and maternity services. We seek to be a witness to the healing ministry of Christ through excellence in education, service and research. We would like to deliver quality and compassionate care for the best outcome for our patients on the ethical basis.

Our Obstertic Services :

• Antenatal OPD
• High risk pregnancy (Pregnancy with Hypertension, Diabetes, Anaemia, Intra Uterine Growth Restriction and Cardiac Disease
• Antenatal scans which include NT scans, morphology scans and growth scans.
• Cardiotocogram
• 24-hour labour room services with continuous fetal monitoring and aseptic conditions
• Facility for painless delivery (epidural analgesia)
• 24 hours facility for emergency caesarean section with availability of 24-hour anaesthetist and paediatrician

Our Gynaecological Services :

• OPD procedures like Endometrial biopsy, Cu-T insertion and LNG-IUS insertion
• Gynaecological scans
• Day care surgeries
• Minimal invasive surgeries like laparoscopic sterilization, laparoscopic cystectomy and laparoscopic hysterectomy
• Abdominal hysterectomy and vaginal surgeries like non descent vaginal surgeries and surgeries for uterus prolapse
• Scarless hysterectomy like Non descent vaginal hysterectomy and vaginal surgeries for pelvic organ prolapse
• Emergency procedures like evacuation of incomplete abortion, cervical cerclage
